With La Rochelle Tours you can now enjoy a quick 1 night getaway to the whale capital of South Africa, the lovely little town of Hermanus.

Hermanus is home to the best land based whale watching in the world and as the whales visit the South African coast during the winter months to give birth to their calves we only offer these overnight trips between the months of May to September each year.

Apart from being well known for it’s whale watching, Hermanus also have some amazing wine estates in the region for quality wine tasting experiences.

What follows below is some of the highlights that you will enjoy on this overnight tour with La Rochelle Tours.

Day 1: Cape Town / Winelands to Hermanus

•	Depart after breakfast via the beautiful Cape Winelands town of Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of South Africa.
•	Scenic drive over the Franschhoek Mountain Pass with views of the Theewaterskloof Dam.
•	Pass through the Elgin area with fruit orchards lining the road we travel.
•	Quick stop at a traditional farm stall en route.
•	Whale watching in Hermanus.
•	Some free time to explore this vibrant little town.

Day 2: Hermanus to Cape Town / Winelands

•	Enjoy a final outing to spot some whales after breakfast.
•	Visit one of the well known Hermanus wine estates for a quick tasting.
•	Scenic drive via the Sir Lowry’s Pass.
•	Back at your hotel in mid afternoon.
